4 months - ouch!

Carter had his 4 month appointment yesterday where he got 2 more shots. He took them like a champ! He let out one cry, but was quickly soothed by daddy giving him his pacifier! Here he is when we got home (see the band-aides on his legs?) talking with Grandma Cupcake on Skype.

16 lbs 11 oz - a 3 lbs gain in 2 months so, maybe he is slowing down.
He measured at 25 1/4 inches but the doctor and daddy both thought that the nurse didn't stretch him out enough so, he maybe more like 26 (??)

The really big news: we get to start solids! I'm so excited, but I'm pretty sure the excitement will die down when I fully grasp how much more time this will take...

My mommy car

We did it. We got a mommy car. After multiple embarassing visits to the park trying to get the jogging stroller in and out of the tiny Subaru WRX, we got a mommy car. Good-bye hot little sports car!

Hello mommy car! OK, not a REAL "minivan-carpooling-mommy car", more of a new-age-mommy car!

I'll take more photos later. We just got back from our 6 mile March of Dimes walk and need a nap.

Gerber Baby

Apparently we aren't the only ones who think that Carter resembles the Gerber baby. Check out my mom's post and then the photographer's post!

Carter goes to coffee

Sure, we have coffee at home everyday - OK, mommy has coffee, Carter has his usual - but today was EXTRA special. We went to Cafe Sip-n-play with our new pals, Kerrie and Will. Will is another lucky holiday baby born this past New Year's Eve. Don't they just look like they are made to rule the playground together?

Well no, they didn't seem to know that the other was there, but that is besides the point. They are just a week apart in age and weigh close to the same amount and are about the same length so... they are bound to best friends.

Need more proof? They have already formed a new music group. Just listen!

More from Easter

Here is a cute shot of Chris and Carter getting ready for a morning bath.

Oops! He caught mommy peeking!

Carter goes to the Biggest Little City

Carter had his very first plane ride to Reno for Easter. He was such a good boy - sleeping through the entire flight!. We had so much fun in Reno especially since we got to meet little Miss Isabelle. The cousins hit it off right away. Just look at Isabelle trying to hold his hand!

Of course, as with everything else, Carter tried to put her hand in his mouth...

Such serious thinkers.

I wonder what she was saying to him!

Bad to the bone

Me and Mr. Bad went for a walk at Heritage Park again. It was so gorgeous out that we needed our shades - Thanks Auntie J!

What's that you say? You LOVE my new stroller? Me too! My baby-daddy got it for us after our walk the other day. The park has such great unpaved trails, but it was a bumpy ride for little man before our new purchase complete with shocks!

Hard day's work

Warning: Chris and I may be the only people who find this entertaining, but is it our duty as parents to capture these moments

A walk in the park

It was so nice and sunny out on Saturday that we took Carter to Heritage Park in Camas. Sunny as it was, it was still pretty cold out.

Can't you just see the excitement in his face?

Yep, it was pretty exhausting!

Spa Night

Carter and I recently attended "Spa Night" at a girlfriend's. He was the only boy allowed and should have wore his robe, but when it was actually time to leave the house, he was fast asleep so, he just work his lounge attire. Here are some fun photos I took before we headed over. He had a little trouble sitting still for me :)

Caught in the act

Just look how guilty he looks when he sees that he is being taped!

Big Boy!

I weighed "little" man on Monday while I was at the moms' group at the hospital.... 15 lbs 10 oz!!! I couldn't believe it.
